Get your Pure Boland Fix by Supporting Local

– News Article

With home cooking and entertaining taking centre stage during the ongoing lockdown period, take it to the next level and support local by ordering a carefully curated Pure Boland Box filled with fresh country produce, delivered straight to your door in the areas of Wellington, Paarl, Franschhoek, Stellenbosch, Wolseley, Ceres and Tulbagh. What’s more, it also features some of our most delicious wines.

Choose between two boxes, each brimming with delicious fare from small Boland producers. Think along the lines of market produce such as fresh seasonal fruit and vegetables, top-quality meat, eggs and dairy products; delicious jams, preserves, olives, olive oil, pestos and pickled items; breads, pies, pastries, cakes and quiches; locally roasted coffee, sundried fruit and more.

Every month’s box is a surprise up until a few days before delivery due to seasonal availability and supply. We heard a whisper that traditional waterblommetjies will be a key ingredient in the July box!

The standard box is available at R550 and includes a bottle of our Baronne 2018, while the luxury box that comes with our The Winemasters Cabernet Sauvignon 2018, is offered at R750.

Go to to view details and order your box for delivery on Wednesday, 22 July. Follow us on social media and visit our blog to collect our chef, Jerry Kennedy’s, recipes inspired by the produce included in each month’s offering.

About Pure Boland:

Pure Boland Market started 12 years ago when Tharina Marais saw an opening in the local market for local small businesses to sell their products. It became a monthly favourite in Worcester, and over time people started flocking here from all parts of the Western Cape to enjoy and purchase the local produce and delicious home-made fare. Peter Marais joined the Pure Boland team when he married Tharina and since then they have been the power couple behind this first-Saturday-of-the-month tradition. With the uncertainty caused by Covid-19, the team has transformed their local produce offering to one that gets delivered to homes in the majority of Boland areas.
