Chef Marthinus Ferreira
Join us at The Manor in Paarl on the last weekend in August (Friday, 26 and Saturday, 27), when chef Marthinus Ferreira, who made his name at DW Eleven-13 in Johannesburg and who previously worked abroad under Gordon Ramsay and Heston Blumenthal, will be taking the reins in our kitchen.
On both nights, starting at 18:30 for 19:00, he’ll be serving up an interesting array of five innovative dishes (some meat-, some plant-based), each matched with one of our fine wines.
Think along the lines of delicious local flavours such as lightly cured hake, Cape Malay oil, cucumber, coconut, chutney and tempura, or slow-cooked leg of Karoo lamb, braaied red cabbage, potato bake and lamb jus. We’re already salivating!
Marthinus recently migrated south from Jozi to take the helm at Jordan’s Winery’s restaurant in Stellenbosch. It’s properly known as The Jordan Restaurant with Marthinus Ferreira. His menu for Nederburg, will offer a fresh and very individual interpretation of the familiar.
